About Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is a British heavyweight boxer and former two-time unified heavyweight world champion. Known as “AJ”, Joshua turned professional in 2013 after winning super-heavyweight gold for Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Joshua rose rapidly through the professional heavyweight ranks, becoming IBF world champion before adding the WBA and IBO belts with his memorable victory over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium in 2017. He later added the WBO title and became one of the leading heavyweights of his generation.
His professional career has included major fights against Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, Andy Ruiz Jr., Oleksandr Usyk, Daniel Dubois and Francis Ngannou. After losing his unified titles to Usyk in 2021, Joshua was defeated by split decision in their 2022 rematch. He later rebuilt with victories over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Ngannou before losing to Dubois at Wembley in September 2024.
