Badou Jack

Badou “The Ripper” Jack is a Swedish-Gambian professional boxer and three-division world champion who has captured major titles at super middleweight, light heavyweight and cruiserweight. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Jack represented Gambia at the 2008 Olympic Games before turning professional in 2009. After establishing himself in the United States, he defeated Anthony Dirrell by majority decision in April 2015 to capture the WBC super middleweight world championship. Jack later moved to light heavyweight, where he defeated Nathan Cleverly and later drew with WBC champion Adonis Stevenson. At 175 pounds, he also faced Marcus Browne and Jean Pascal. Moving into the cruiserweight division extended Jack's championship career. On 26 February 2023, he stopped Ilunga Makabu in the twelfth round in Saudi Arabia to capture the WBC cruiserweight championship, making him a world champion in a third weight division. Jack returned from a lengthy period outside the ring on 3 May 2025 to face Noel Mikaelian in Riyadh. Jack won a close majority decision, with judges scoring the contest 115–113, 115–113 and 114–114, retaining the WBC cruiserweight championship. The pair met again on 13 December 2025 at Ace Mission Studios in Los Angeles. This time Mikaelian won a unanimous decision by scores of 116–110, 116–110 and 115–111, ending Jack's latest WBC title reign and moving his professional record to 29 wins, four losses and three draws.
