Bruce Carrington Jr., known in the ring as "Shu Shu," is an American featherweight who currently holds the WBC world featherweight title. An orthodox fighter from Brooklyn, New York, Carrington stands 173 cm with a 183 cm reach and has compiled an 18-0 professional record with 10 stoppage wins. He won the vacant WBC world featherweight title on January 31, 2026, and made his first defence on July 4, 2026. Carrington's recorded professional activity begins on October 9, 2021, when he scored a unanimous decision win over Cesar Cantu on the Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder III undercard at T-Mobile Arena. Over the next year he built early momentum with a string of stoppages, including a second-round KO of Steven Brown (January 29, 2022) and knockout victories at Madison Square Garden, where he stopped Yeuri Andújar and later produced a sixth-round TKO of Adrian Leyva. Through 2022 and 2023 Carrington graduated from four- and six-round assignments into eight-round tests and ten-round regional championship boxing. That set the stage for his ascent to full world champion: Carrington stopped Carlos Castro in the ninth round to claim the vacant WBC world featherweight title on January 31, 2026, and then retained that title with a 12-round unanimous decision over René Palacios on July 4, 2026.
