David Alejandro Jiménez Rodríguez, known in the ring as "Medallita," is a Costa Rican orthodox fighter who has established himself across the flyweight and super-flyweight divisions and currently holds WBA Super-flyweight (Regular) World Champion status after a promotion on 2026-06-13. Standing 164 cm with a 163 cm reach, Jiménez combines power and pressure — reflected in his 18–1 record with 12 stoppage wins — and has built his résumé on regional titles, international undercards and high-profile world fights. Jiménez began piling up early stoppages after turning pro in 2019, recording a string of KO/TKO victories through that year, including a 22-second KO of Emmanuel Villamar in February and multiple inside-the-distance wins later that year.
