Raymond Muratalla

Raymond Muratalla is an American lightweight boxer who has risen through regional ranks to become the IBF world lightweight champion. Fighting out of an orthodox stance and known by the nickname “Danger,” Muratalla stands 173 cm with a 183 cm reach and entered the professional ranks in 2016. As of 2026-08-01 he is unbeaten at 25–0 with 17 stoppage victories and holds the IBF world lightweight title after an administrative elevation from interim champion on 2025-06-09. Muratalla’s early career was built on a string of stoppage wins and decisions across Mexican and regional local cards. He recorded an opening TKO on 2016-09-16 in Tijuana against Jesus Sandoval and continued to accumulate victories — several by TKO or KO — through 2019. Those early bouts are documented across boxing databases and aggregators. Over the next years he mixed knockout finishes with unanimous and unanimous-type decisions, demonstrating both finishing power and the ability to go the distance. Muratalla’s first world-level breakthrough came on 2025-05-10, when he earned a unanimous decision over Zaur Abdullaev to claim the vacant IBF interim world lightweight title over 12 rounds at Pechanga Arena. The IBF elevated him from interim to full world champion on 2025-06-09, an administrative change that established him as the organisation’s world lightweight titleholder. He successfully defended the IBF belt on 2026-01-24, retaining via majority decision against Andy Cruz in a bout where published score permutations showed minor discrepancies across reports but the majority-decision outcome stood. Muratalla added a further successful defence on 2026-08-01, winning a 12-round unanimous decision over Robson Conceição in Las Vegas. Muratalla’s record — 25 wins, no defeats, 17 stoppages — reflects a fighter who has combined power and durability while climbing from regional circuits to the top of the IBF lightweight ranks.
